Debuting on NBC tonight after The Olympics (11:01 p.m., YIKES!), GO ON is a new sitcom featuring former FRIENDS star MATTHEW PERRY as a sportscaster forced by management into grief counseling after the death of his wife. Needless to say, his therapy group is rife with quirky characters all created in the hopes of turning that widower frown upside-down. Created by SCOTT SILVERI, the show’s cast also includes JOHN CHO, LAURA BENANTI, MICHELLE BERNARD, KIMRIE LEWIS-DAVIS and TERRILL OWENS.
PERRY’S character on the series is not unlike those he’s played on other shows and, during our recent interview at the Television Critics Association, he admitted there is a similarity.
