With the worldwide success of Marvel Comics‘ The Avengers, which was distributed by Walt Disney Studios, DC Comics fans have wondered when or if a film version of The Justice League will ever get made. Warner Bros., which has had a successful run producing Batman films (Batman is from the DC Universe), is now fast tracking a Justice League film, with Ben Affleck the favorite to direct the project.
Justice League is an important facet of the DC Universe, as the superhero team features such iconic crime fighters Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman. Affleck’s directing track record is excellent, as both Gone Baby Gone and The Town have been critically beloved. His next film, the political drama Argo, opens up later this year.
We have spoken to Affleck numerous times over the years and he told us that even though he’s one of Hollywood’s top stars, he feels extra pressure of being a director. (Click on the media bar below to hear Ben Affleck)
