Soon to be seen in theaters, SIDE BY SIDE is an informative, in-depth documentary detailing the advent of digital film and projection as it pertains to the diminishing use of photochemical film in mass market entertainment. Directed by CHRIS KENNEALLY, the film is produced and hosted by KEANU REEVES, a devout lover of traditional film and a budding filmmaker about to make his directorial debut with MAN OF TAI CHI, a drama shot entirely in China. We had the pleasure of sitting down with REEVES yesterday to talk about his involvement in both films and were a little surprised to learn that, despite his devotion to film as a medium, he’s using digital equipment on his first time out.
