Opening in theaters today, the much anticipated, critically acclaimed, long awaited comic book action/adventure THE DARK KNIGHT RISES brings to a close the Batman trilogy created by visionary auteur CHRISTOPHER NOLAN. Based on a script NOLAN co-wrote with his brother JONATHAN, the film features a cast that includes CHRISTIAN BALE, MICHAEL CAINE, MORGAN FREEMAN, GARY OLDMAN, ANNE HATHAWAY, TOM HARDY, MARION COTILLARD and JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT.

As he does with every role he takes, BALE heavily invested in his portrayal of the iconic DC comic book superhero BATMAN and has lived with the role for the better part of a decade.
