Having made a name for herself with roles in such prestigious films as ATONEMENT and NOTES ON A SCANDAL, 22-year-old Brit JUNO TEMPLE has hit the ground running and will be seen in no less than four major motion pictures being released this year and has roles in another five films in varying stages of production for future release. In theaters today, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has TEMPLE playing a protege of ANNE HATHAWAY’S smooth cat-burglar Selina Kyle. In the upcoming KILLER JOE, she’s the slightly disturbed object of MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY’S lusty titular hitman and these titles will be followed up with starring roles in the highly-anticipated biopic LOVELACE and the fantasy/thriller THE BRASS TEAPOT.
The daughter of film director JULIEN TEMPLE and producer AMANDA TEMPLE, JUNO tells us that she’s always had a sense that acting was in her blood. During our interview a few days ago, she confessed to a childhood epiphany that occurred while watching the JEAN COCTEAU classic LA BELLE ET LA BETE for the first time.
