Available on DVD and Blu-ray today, the telenovela spoof CASA DE MI PADRE puts another over-the-top notch in WILL FERRELL’S comedy belt. Performed completely in Spanish with English subtitles, this one ranks up there with FERRELL’S greatest comedy creations. Directed by MATT PIEDMONT from a script by ANDREW STEELE, the cast also includes DIEGO LUNA, PEDRO ARMENDARIZ JR., GENESIS RODRIGUEZ, GAEL GARCIA BERNAL and NICK OFFERMAN.

I’ve been wondering about Casa de mi Padre for some time now and I don’t know anyone who’s seen it or even heard of it. I’ve come to discover that the ones that aren’t talked about as much sometimes are hidden gems. Hopefully this will be such a movie and it’s Will Ferrell so I’ve got to at least watch it once. Going to the movie theater is too expensive and who wants to go from kiosk to kiosk looking for that copy of The Three Stooges: I definitely don’t. So a Dish co-worker suggested that I try Blockbuster at Home to keep my costs down. Now I can get movies and games delivered by mail, stream movies to my Hopper, and I even used it to watch Intruders last night. Everyone in the house gets what they want and we’re saving money by doing it this way. We won’t be fighting over who gets to watch what anymore.
