Airing tonight as part of the dynamite FX Thursday night comedy line-up that also includes ANGER MANAGMENT, LOUIE and BRAND X, the delightfully deranged WILFRED is a twisted comedy that becomes more subversive the more you think about it and centers on a disenfranchised young man who sees his beautiful neighbor’s pet pooch as a debauched, middle-aged man in a ratty dog suit. Created by and starring (as the titular pup) JASON GANN, the series also features ELIJAH WOOD, FIONA GUBELMANN and DORIAN BROWN.

Originally created for Australian television, the series was retooled for American audiences and proved to be a hit right out of the gate. At a recent TCA press conference to promote the new season, GANN talked about the origin and subsequent success of the show. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
