Having already won over audiences in last year’s big-screen titles WAR HORSE and TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY, British actor BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH has been captivating mystery fans for two seasons with his contemporary reinvention of the titular detective in the popular BBC series SHERLOCK. Soon to be heard as the voice of Smaug in PETER JACKSON’S highly anticipated adaptation of J.R.R. TOLKIEN’S THE HOBBIT and in pre-production as the iconic villain Kahn in J.J. ABRAMS sequel to his STAR TREK reboot, it’s pretty safe to say that CUMBERBATCH’S star is on the rise. Speaking recently to the TELEVISION CRITICS ASSOCIATION via satellite from London to promote SHERLOCK II, CUMBERBATCH talked about dealing with all of his newfound fame.
