Despite consistently decent ratings, the popular TNT series THE CLOSER enters its final season tonight. Created by JAMES DUFF, the show follows a Los Angeles crime division headed by Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, a Georgia transplant whose genteel demeanor belies her tough, unconventional approach to catching the bad guys. Emmy Award-winning actress KYRA SEDGWICK heads the cast that also includes J.K. SIMMONS, JON TENNEY, COREY REYNOLDS, ROBERT GOSSETT, G.W. BAILEY and TONY DENISON.
