Seth MacFarlane is one of the most brilliant comedy minds in television and film today. Not only is he the mastermind behind the FOX animated series Family Guy and American Dad, he also wrote and directed the comedy Ted.

It was a long time coming for MacFarlane to make his feature film debut, and although Ted was a high concept story, the project was not conceived as a movie.

But cinema is an ever changing landscape, especially when it comes to special effects, and MacFarlane eventually decided Ted was ripe for the big screen.

Ted was the #2 film over the weekend at the box office.
