Arriving on DVD and Blu-ray today, GOD BLESS AMERICA is a delightfully subversive satire that centers on a depressed, middle-aged, divorced dad whose had enough of the revoltingly thoughtless human behavior that’s become the norm and sets off on a cross-country killing spree to right as many “wrongs” as possible. Along the way, he reluctantly takes on a teen side-kick and, together, they tackle such targets as reality tv, Twi-hards, NASCAR fans and impolite moviegoers. Written and directed by BOBCAT GOLDTHWAIT, the cast features JOEL MURRAY and TARA LYNNE BARR as well as MACKENZIE BROOKE SMITH, MELINDA PAGE HAMILTON, RICH McDONALD and DAVID MENDENHALL.
