Katy Perry is one of the biggest stars in the world, as she has eight number one songs to her credit. The pop star has also sold out concert venues all over the world.   Perry, however, is not resting on her laurels, as she has flirted with acting by guest starring on the FOX comedy series Raising Hope and voicing a character in the Smurfs movie. Now she is going to star in her own film.

On July 5, she can been in Katy Perry: Part of Me.  The film spotlights her transformation from young girl with starry eyed dreams into one of today’s biggest music acts. Perry said the idea came out from watching her fans’ positive response to her album Teenage Dream.
