Opening today, Pixar’s latest animated feature “Brave” centers on an adventurous girl named Merida (Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer who yearns to break free from her mother’s (Emma Thompson, voicing Queen Elinor) controlling clutches. As a princess, Merida is fated to give her hand to the suitor who wins a competition of her own choosing. Merida breaks with tradition and, after a fateful encounter with a witch, accidentally has her mom turned into a bear!
Craig Ferguson is the voice of Lord Macintosh, the dad of one of the lads trying to win Merida’s affections. During the Los Angeles press conference of “Brave,” Ferguson said accepting the role was a no-brainer.
“When the name Pixar is on the offer,” says Ferguson. “It’s not really an offer, it’s more of a summons. (The offer says) ‘Pixar requires your presence in this film’ and you go, or you’re a fool. They’ve earned the right by what they’ve done.”
Ferguson talks about the advantages and freedom of doing animated films (he mentions co-stars Kelly Macdonald and Kevin McKidd in the clip):

Movie is going to be really interesting and the cast is great - so many good actors in one movie…must be a success.
One thing - Craig is the voice of Lord MacIntosh not Lord Ferguson

Yeah, it seems like everyone is messing up Craig’s character in the movie.
