Among the many performers who made their TV debuts on the show were BOB HOPE, LENA HORNE, THE BEATLES and WALT DISNEY. In addition, the program became famous for bringing to the home screen scenes from iconic Broadway musicals and dramas. A television staple for decades, it lasted until 1971.
