Celebrating his 70th birthday today, SIR PAUL McCARTNEY is said to be keeping a low profile with wife NANCY and his five kids despite the fact that there will be celebrations going on all over the world. One of the world’s most famous living musicians, McCARTNEY has spent more years of his life in the spotlight than out of it. He first hooked up with pal JOHN LENNON when he was 15 and together they formed THE QUARRYMEN. By the time he was 19, they were playing to packed houses in Germany. After that, McCARTNEY and LENNON, along with GEORGE HARRISON and RINGO STARR (taking over for PETE BEST) became THE BEATLES and modern music history was made.
