sw16Buoyed by the star power of Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, and The Avengers’ Chris Hemsworth, Snow White And the Huntsman overcame lukewarm reviews to debut at the #1 spot at the box-office, taking in $56.3 million.  Men in Black 3 continued its solid run, checking in at second with $29.3 million.  Battleship was a distant fourth, as the summer movie misfire drudged up just $4.8 million.  Here’s the top 10:

4.  Battleship - $4.8 million

5.  The Dictator - $4.7 million

8.  Dark Shadows - $3.86 million

9.  Chernobyl Diaries - $3 million

10.  For Greater Glory - $1.8 million
