In theaters tomorrow, THE PERFECT FAMILY is a satiric family drama about a devoutly Catholic woman trying to cope with and hide the fact that her slightly dysfunctional family might stand in the way of her winning a church award. Directed by ANNE RENTON from a script by PAULA GOLDBERG, the ensemble cast includes KATHLEEN TURNER, EMILY DESCHANEL, JASON RITTER, MICHAEL McGRADY, SHARON LAWRENCE, ELIZABETH PENA and RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN.
A veteran of stage, screen and television, award-winning actress KATHLEEN TURNER sat down with us a few days ago to talk about her storied career when the subject of sequels came up. Never one to revisit a character, TURNER found herself between a rock and a hard place when pal MICHAEL DOUGLAS wanted to do a follow-up to their 1984 hit ROMANCING THE STONE. As she recalls it, things got ugly and we almost never got to see the 1985 action adventure JEWEL OF THE NILE. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
