Tom Hardy and Chris Pine play CIA operatives who compete for Reese Witherspoon’s affections in the action-comedy This Means War. During a press conference to promote the feature, Hardy was asked to describe Pine’s fighting style.
“Chris is a good fighter,” says Tom Hardy. “He’s got this kind of jazz hands style which is kind of scary, if you’re going up against someone from West Side Story. You have to keep your eyes peeled, especially when they come from any angle.”
Hardy describing Pine’s technique to a dancer from West Side Story was obviously a light jab at the Star Trek actor, but it was all in good fun. Listen to Hardy talk about Pine in the following audio clip (director McG can also be heard):
