In theaters this weekend, THIS MEANS WAR is an unlikely hybrid of romcom-meets-action/adventure that actually skews a bit more to the latter than the former. Centered on a pair of CIA ops who fall for (and skirmish over) the same girl, the movie plays like a Valentine’s Day version of James Bond. Directed by McG from a screenplay by TIMOTHY DOWLING and SIMON KINBERG, the principal cast consists of REESE WITHERSPOON, CHRIS PINE and TOM HARDY, with support from CHELSEA HANDLER, LAURA VANDERVORT, ABIGAIL SPENCER, ANGELA BASSETT and DAVE KOECHNER.
Speaking to entertainment reporters at a recent press conference, PINE shared his thoughts on why the film should appeal to both sexes. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
