Expanding its limited release to a much wider number of theaters, EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE centers on a precocious 11-year-old New York City boy on a quest to come to terms with the death of his father in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks of 9/11/01. Directed by three-time Oscar-nominee ROGER DALDRY, the cast includes Oscar-winners TOM HANKS and SANDRA BULLOCK along with MAX VON SYDOW, VIOLA DAVIS, JOHN GOODMAN, JEFFREY WRIGHT, ZOE CALDWELL and newcomer THOMAS HORN.
At a press conference to promote the film, BULLOCK expressed the hope that audiences will learn from the movie to take the time each day to tell someone they care about how much they mean to them. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
