Airing tonight on NBC, ARE YOU THERE, CHELSEA? is loosely based on the memoirs of comedienne CHELSEA HANDLER and follows the exploits of her hard-drinking, fast-living days as seen through the rose-tinted lenses of hindsight glasses. Decidedly raunchy and a bit of a break-through for prime time TV, the sitcom stars LAURA PREPON in the titular role while HANDLER actually plays the role of her sister. We sat down a few days ago with the stars of the new show and PREPON talked about the premise while HANDLER explained why she wanted someone else to portray her.
