Enjoying mostly favorable reviews for her titular performance in ALBERT NOBBS, Academy Award-winning actress GLENN CLOSE plays an eccentric 19th Century female who disguises herself as an even more eccentric male in order to secure employment and eventually realize her dream of becoming a shopkeeper. Directed by RODRIGO GARCIA (from a script written by GLENN CLOSE and JOHN BANVILLE), the cast features CLOSE supported by MIA WASIKOWSKA, JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS, BRENDAN GLEESON, BRENDA FRICKER and JANET McTEER.

A passion project for CLOSE, she won an Obie Award for an off-Broadway production of the stage adaptation in the early ’80s and has been trying to get the film off the ground for years.
