During the interviews for The Debt, Sam Worthington talked about his eagerness about taking the Clash Of The Titans sequel Wrath Of The Titans and “flipping it on its head.” Warner Bros. has a lot at stake with this franchise, as a third installment has already been green light by the studio.

With Wrath, Perseus (Worthington) is tasked with rescuing Zeus (Liam Neeson) and take down the Titans and its leader Kronos (Zeus’ dad).  Battle: Los Angeles filmmaker Jonathan Liebesman is directing the feature (Louis Leterrier helmed Clash), which also stars Edgar Ramirez, Danny Huston, Bill Nighy, and Rosamund Pike.

Although Clash of the Titans was a pretty mixed bag, Worthington won me over during The Debt interviews, as he admitted that while he may not be the best actor in the world, he’s a hard worker.  Click on the media bar to hear Worthington:

Check out the trailer below for Wrath of the Titans, which features Marilyn Manson’s popular cover of “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” and tell us what you think.  Seeing the lovely Rosamund Pike, best known for Pride & Prejudice and Barney’s Version, returning to big budget escapist fare (anyone remember Doom?) is a plus, and one would hope the 3D is much better the second time around.  Wrath of the Titans opens March 30th, 2012.
