Angelina Jolie makes her writing and feature directing debut with In The Land of Blood And Honey, a story set amidst the Bosnian War.  The picture, which is garnering critical acclaim, will be honored with the Stanley Kramer Award at the Producers Guild of America Awards.  Created in 2002, the award honors a “motion picture, producer or other individual, whose achievement or contribution illuminates provocative social issues in an accessible and elevating fashion.”

“I think so much about the people who went through this war and you want to help open discussion and you want people to remember but at the same time you feel responsible for an entire country and an entire people,” says Jolie.  “I feel this great responsibility to a people that I have come to love and become friends with.”
