The acclaimed indie thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene, which features a sublime performance from Elizabeth Olsen as a young woman trying to adjust to post-commune life, hits Blu-ray and DVD February 21st.

Nascent filmmaker Sean Durkin received the Directing Award at the Sundance Film Festival for the story, which also features Sarah Paulson as Martha’s (Olsen) perplexed sitter and John Hawkes (Winter’s Bone) as the magnetic commune leader.

Special features on the Blu-ray version include: the short film “Mary Last Seen,” Spotlight on Elizabeth Olsen, “The Story,” “The Making of Martha Marcy May Marlene,” “A Conversation with Filmmakers,” “The Psyche of a Cult,” “Marcy’s Song” music video by John Hawkes, and the theatrical trailer.  The DVD version only contains “Mary Last Seen.”

While promoting the film, Olsen talked about the physical challenges of shooting the picture (co-star Sarah Paulson can also be heard in the background):
