Take Shelter, a feature which won two awards at the Cannes Film Festival and received five Film Independent Spirit Award nominations, comes out on DVD February 14th.  The psychological thriller centers on an Ohioan (Boardwalk Empire’s Michael Shannon) who is determined to build a backyard storm shelter after having apocalyptic nightmares.  His erratic behavior takes a toll on his relationship with his wife (omnipresent actress Jessica Chastain) and his deaf daughter Hannah (Tova Stewart).  Shannon, who previously worked with Nichols in the 2007 feature Shotgun Stories, will also be seen as General Zod in the Superman reboot Man of Steel.

The DVD special features include commentary from Shannon and director Jeff Nichols, a featurette on the making of the movie, a Q&A with Shannon and co-star Shea Whigham (who also stars in Boardwalk Empire), and deleted scenes.
