Before directing Sherlock Holmes, Guy Ritchie was essentially known for helming energetically shot and edited tough guy movies, with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch leading the top of the heap (we would like to forget his disastrous collaboration with ex-partner Madonna in Swept Away).
For the past several years, Ritchie has been creatively ensconced in Sherlock Holmes’ world, as Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows opens Friday. Even though he’s now an A-list director, Ritchie says his most nerve wracking moments came from directing a music video.
