David Fincher, a versatile and visually adept filmmaker who loves bringing audiences into an entirely new world with each feature, actually travels familiar ground with The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, a remake of the Swedish film of the same name (which, in turn, is based on Stieg Larsson’s novel).  It was announced today that the film’s December 21st opening has been pushed up to a December 20th evening release, as Sony wants the picture to get an early jump on the competition. 

The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo co-star Daniel Craig had a sublime experience collaborating with Fincher, whom he describes as a modern day Alfred Hitchcock. (Click on the media bar below to hear Daniel Craig)
