Prodigious producer Joel Silver was basically ignored during the recent press conference for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, as most of the questions were directed to Robert Downey Jr., director Guy Ritchie, and new additions Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Mad Men’s Jared Harris (he plays Moriarty).
Silver did offer up one of the conference’s most interesting comments, as he expressed his desire to continue the Sherlock Holmes franchise. The producer, best known for his Matrix and Lethal Weapon movies, believes Sherlock Holmes will endure, thanks to the natural chemistry between Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
