December promises to be a landmark month for director STEVEN SPIELBERG. The legendary filmmaker will be releasing two major movies within a week of each other as well as continuing work helming his long awaited biopic, LINCOLN.
First up, the highly anticipated motion-capture adaptation of THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN. Based on the internationally famous comic by HERGE, the film stars JAMIE BELL, SIMON PEGG, MARK FROST, DANIEL CRAIG and ANDY SERKIS.
Following that: WAR HORSE, based on the book by MICHAEL MORPURGO is a coming-of-age love story between a boy and his horse. Set during World War I, the film features a cast that includes DAVID THEWLIS, EMMA WATSON and BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH.
With two prestige pictures coming out back-to-back and his large-scale LINCOLN biopic currently in production, SPIELBERG might just be the hardest working filmmaker in show biz. Sitting down with entertainment reporters a few days ago in Manhattan, SPIELBERG talked about how he makes use of the little free time he actually has. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
