In tonight’s episode of the NBC sitcom WHITNEY, the titular commitment-phobe gets stressed enough to head for a therapist when asked to be maid-of-honor at a friend’s wedding. Created by stand-up comic and CHELSEA HANDLER regular WHITNEY CUMMINGS, each episode of the series is basically a short-form romantic comedy based largely on her comedy monologues. Joining CUMMINGS in the cast are RHEA SEEHORN, ZOE LISTER JONES and MAULIK PANCHOLY.

During our recent interview, CUMMINGS admitted to using a lot of her stage material in the series and believes it works so well because she spreads it out to other members of the cast as well. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
