Arriving in theaters next month, TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY is the big screen adaptation of JOHN LeCARRE’S classic 1974 Cold War novel that served to introduce the character of low-key spy George Smiley. Famously played by SIR ALEC GUINNESS in a 1979 TV adaptation, Smiley will be played in the film by GARY OLDMAN. Most recently seen as Gotham City cop Jim Gordon in CHRISTOPHER NOLAN’S hugely popular DARK KNIGHT series, OLDMAN recently sat down with us to talk about his film work and to opine about the current state of action movies.
