Opening in theaters today, THE DESCENDANTS is a family drama centering on a disenfranchised father forced to reconnect with his children when his wife is hospitalized after a tragic accident. Co-written and directed by ALEXANDER PAYNE, the film stars GEORGE CLOONEY, SHAILENE WOODLEY, AMARA MILLER, NICK KRAUSE, BEAU BRIDGES, MICHAEL ONTKEAN and MATT LILLARD.

Turning in a performance sure to get him some attention come awards season, CLOONEY has come a long way since playing a recurring character on the 1980’s sitcom THE FACTS OF LIFE. During a recent press conference to promote the film, CLOONEY admitted that he wouldn’t be the “movie star” he is today if not for all his years spent working in TV.
