Currently in theaters (and still at the top of the weekend box office chart), the animated fantasy PUSS IN BOOTS is a reinvention of the famous french fairy tale first told at the end of the 17th century. This time around, the action is transported to Spain and follows the furry feline as he outsmarts two murderous outlaws (Jack & Jill) who have discovered an ancient power that could destroy the world. Accompanying the lush 3D animated are the musical compositions of HENRY JACKMAN, was was inspired by the folk instruments of traditional Latin music.
At the press conference to promote the film, BILLY BOB THORNTON (who provides the voice of Jack and is a professional musician in real life) talked about the importance of the musical score to the movie. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
