Although Wrath of the Titans opens March 30th, 2012, Warner Bros. is not afraid of jumping the gun and has given the go ahead for Clash of the Titans 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sam Worthington is returning to the installment as Perseus, and Toby Kebbell, who plays Perseus’ sidekick Agenor in Wrath, may also return for the third film. Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson, two of the writers on Wrath, will write a treatment for Clash of the Titans 3.
The first movie, directed by Louis Leterrier, took in $163 million. Jonathan Liebesman, who directed this year’s Battle: Los Angeles, is the director for Wrath of the Titans. The Clash franchise is essentially a critic-proof movie, and during an interview for The Debt, Sam Worthington explains the logical reason for making Wrath of the Titans:
