Arriving in theaters today, MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE is the tortured tale of a very damaged young woman trying desperately to re-assimilate into conventional society after escaping life in a cult compound. Haunted by the traumatic events suffered under the control of a seductively twisted leader, her alienation can never really be resolved.
Written and directed by SEAN DURKIN, the film includes powerful performances by a cast that features Academy Award-nominee JOHN HAWKES, newcomer ELIZABETH OLSEN, SARAH PAULSON and HUGH DANCY.
