In theaters today, THE BIG YEAR is a slick comedy about three friendly rivals from very different backgrounds, who dedicate a year of their life to travel the country in an effort to become the world’s greatest bird-watcher. Based on a book by MARK OBMASICK and directed by DAVID FRANKEL, the first-rate cast includes STEVE MARTIN, JACK BLACK, OWEN WILSON, JIM PARSONS, JOEL McHALE, RASHIDA JONES, DIANNE WIEST and ANJELICA HUSTON.
A former stand-up and star of countless comedies, STEVE MARTIN generally knows funny when he sees it but at the press conference to promote the film, he admitted that spotting a “classic” comedy sometimes takes a bit of time. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
