Arguably one of the greatest fighters in modern history, SUGAR RAY LEONARD was recently tapped to work as coach/trainer for HUGH JACKMAN as he prepared for his starring role in the upcoming sci-fi family drama REAL STEEL. Set in the not-so-distant future where human boxers have been replaced by robots and telling the tale of a washed-up former fighter now relegated to training robots for the sport he once loved, the film is an effective blend of sentiment and science fiction. Wanting their star to look as authentic as possible in his boxing scenes, they brought in LEONARD to get the job done.
We sat down with the former champ to talk about his career in the ring and his work on the film and he shared his thoughts about the greatest misconceptions the public has about fighters. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
