Real Steel actor Anthony Mackie, born and raised in New Orleans, spent a year in North Carolina and extended time in New York before moving back to the Big Easy three years ago.

“New Orleans is the best city in America.  Hands down,” says Mackie, whose nickname for Louisiana is Lou-Brees-iana, in reference to New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees.  “And I realized that once I left.  And once I left I had to get back.  So I bought a house.  Built it.  Rebuilt it.  Moved in.  Bought a truck. Bought a boat to match my truck.  And that’s what I do.”
