Boxing icon Sugar Ray Leonard, who serves as a consultant on the Hugh Jackman feature Real Steel (opening Friday), also released his candid autobiography The Big Fight: My Life In And Out of the Ring in June.  For Mr. Leonard, the process of penning his memoir was a cathartic experience (click on the media bar to hear audio):

Leonard, whose career featured stellar rivalries with fellow pugilists Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns, and Marvin Hagler, believes boxers today have a different attitude when they enter the ring.

“The fighters today, they tell you that they’re the greatest fighters, pound for pound,” says Leonard.  “You can’t make that determination.  Let the people tell you.  Let the public tell you.  Let the fans tell you.  To take it a step further, if you want to be the best (fighter) pound for pound, fight the best (fighter) pound for pound.”  Click on the media bar and listen to Leonard talk about the long delayed matchup between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquaio:
