Currently on-screen as Peter Brand, the brainy, Yale-educated economist who comes up with the numbers-crunching scheme that general manager Billy Beane uses to take the Oakland A’s out of the cellar in MONEYBALL, JONAH HILL is about to take another medium by storm. Set to premiere Sunday, Oct. 30 on Fox-TV, ALLEN GREGORY is an animated series that will follow the social misadventures of a precocious 7-year-old whose uncouth elementary school pals are unable to deal with or understand a sophisticated brainiac being raised by two gay dads. Created by HILL, ANDREW MOGEL and JARRAD PAUL, other voice talents include FRENCH STEWART, LESLIE MANN and WILL FORTE.
We recently sat down with the newly svelte HILL (he’s lost much of the weight he carries in MONEYBALL) to talk about the new series and how he came up with the idea. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)
