1073389 - IDES OF MARCH

In The Ides of March, Ryan Gosling plays a press secretary whose idealism takes a beating after discovering his candidate (George Clooney) is involved in a scandal.  For Gosling, politics is not the main agenda for The Ides of March.

“I don’t believe that the film has a political message in any way,” says Gosling.  “So I don’t think it’s more cynical or more realistic.  I think it’s just a thriller. There is no political agenda for this movie. It’s supposed to be a good time at the movies.  It could just be easily set in Hollywood or in Wall Street.”
