The freshman sitcom Up All Night centers on a married couple’s (Will Arnett, Christina Applegate) journey in raising their newborn baby.  While Reagan (Applegate) is a career woman (Maya Rudolph is her talk show host boss), Chris (Arnett) is a stay at home husband.

“I think my character on the show is a lot more laid back than I am as a parent,” says Arnett, who has two sons with wife Amy Poehler.  “Because he’s a new parent, he doesn’t have the wisdom…I’m not saying that I’m wise but you gain some knowledge along the way just through experience with the kids.  I would just say don’t sweat when things don’t go exactly right, don’t try to plan it all out.  Just roll with it.”
