Opening Friday, Killer Elite centers on a former special ops agent (Jason Statham) who tangles with an assassin (Clive Owen) while trying to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro).

Owen, whose done his share of memorable action scenes (most notably in The International and Shoot ‘Em Up), prefers doing his own stunts.  “For me, it’s not much different from doing a dialogue scene,” says Owen.  “It’s still acting.  It’s got to be right, and I don’t want somebody else doing that for me.  I treat it like I do anything else.  You want to make it believable, and a situation like that, it’s intense.  It’s life or death.  You want to commit to it and be the person doing it.”
