Steve Jones serves as the host of The X Factor, a singing competition show spearheaded by former American Idol judge Simon Cowell.  Jones is a relative unknown stateside, and for him it was an absolute “no brainer” to take The X Factor gig.

“I think everybody wants to do what they want to do in the biggest stage possible,” says Jones.  “This is it.  I’m very proud of my career in Britain and I still aim to keep that going.  This takes seven months of my year to film The X Factor and if everything goes well and we come back next year and they want me to come and host it again, there will be a five month period where I’ll be back in the U.K. keeping the fires stoked back there.”
