True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard stars in Straw Dogs, a movie which like Sam Peckinpah’s 1971 version, is based on the book The Siege at Trencher’s Farm.

The story focuses on David (James Marsden), a screenwriter who settles down with his actress wife Amy (Kate Bosworth) in her Mississippi hometown.  The couple don’t exactly get the red carpet treatment from the locals, as Amy’s ex (Alexander Skarsgard) is harboring his share of resentment.
