Glee star (and Emmy winner) Jane Lynch is hosting the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards, which takes place Sunday, September 18th (Fox, 8 pm et/pt).  Lynch was asked if she was interested about the job after bumping into producer Mark Burnett on a flight to Los Angeles.

“And I said, ‘Oh, well I’m so flattered and absolutely,” says Lynch, whose autobiography Happy Accidents comes out September 13th.  “And then of course the whole plane ride home I’m like what if he does actually ask me and I’m nervous and it’s one of those things you just step up and you do it.”
