Stephen Dorff, last seen as a disillusioned movie star in Sofia Coppola’s overlooked and subtle drama Somewhere, stars in Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star as porn actor Dick Shadow.

The picture focuses on a nerdy grocery bagger named Bucky (Nick Swardson, who co-wrote the script with Adam Sandler and Allen Covert) who, after discovering his conservative parents were former porn stars, travels to Los Angeles to follow his own showbiz dreams.

“It’s a romp,” says Dorff.  “It’s a movie to have a lot of fun with.  Not take too seriously.  I think Nick’s performance is worth the price of admission.”
