1-2

For three weeks the critically acclaimed film, The Help, has been at the top of the box office. While action flicks like Shark 3D and Colombiana were expected to do much more business than The Help, both films didn’t even come close.

The film has proven that a well acted and directed film can be successful no matter what time of year it is released. What the film has also proved, is that a beloved book (which the film was based on) can stay true to itself on the big screen. Director Tate Taylor, and Kathryn Stockett, who wrote the novel, told us that having producers Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus work on the film helped pave the way to making a film which stayed true to the book.  (Click on the media bar below to hear Tate Taylor and Kathryn Stockett)
