Opening September 16th, Straw Dogs will try to carve its own ground, especially since the original film, directed by Sam Peckinpah and headlined by Dustin Hoffman, is a story that’s pretty hard to shake.

This time out, James Marsden is a Hollywood screenwriter who returns to his actress wife’s (Kate Bosworth) small town and tries his best to fit in, but unfortunately his spouse’s ex (True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard) has a violent way of greeting the couple.
